Our System Of Beliefs

We believe each player should have a place and appropriate level to play soccer and that is why the CMYSA is founded on the following philosophies:

Open Registration - Our program is open to all children between 4-1/2 and 16 years of age who want to register and play soccer. Interest and enthusiasm are the only criteria for playing.

Positive Coaching - Encouragement of player effort provides for greater enjoyment by the players and ultimately leads to better-skilled and better-motivated players.

Good Sportsmanship - We strive to create a positive environment based on mutual respect rather than a win-at-all-costs attitude, and our program is designed to instill good sportsmanship in every facet.

Everyone Plays - Our In-House program’s goal is for kids to play soccer. So an in-house player completing the necessary training and practice sessions (at least one per week) shall participate in at least ½ (one-half) of each game, unless for reason of illness or discipline.

A travel player completing the necessary training and practice sessions (at least one per week) shall participate in at least ¼ (one-fourth) of each game, unless for reason of illness or discipline. Playing time constraints do not apply to tournament play.
